Maximum Exposure on Low Cost Internet Ad - Is online ads the best way to make advertising ?

Advertising had long since been a major determinant of a business' success.  This would include the presentation of the product / service to the consumers.  What really matters is how it is presented to the target market to be able to capture it.

Whatever the package, the ad media also plays a great role in determining the success of the product or service awareness.

What may be its advantages over other proven medium like the best-selling TV ads?

 Advantages

 1. Low Cost

Eventhough the Internet ad might be viewed as "classy" or far-reaching, as compared to other medium, this is far cheaper than most.  Internet Ad Packages are offered for as low as $29.99 for a one-month run-time period.

 2. Capture market

Should your product / service aim to cater to the younger generation or the corporate-oriented ones, Internet ad would be best since they would always be "hooked-up" into the net surfing sites that might have a link to your very own. Result, a great number of "hits" on your site!

 3. Hassle free

All you would ever really need is a PC (and some knowledge and bright ideas in forming your site) wherein you could open your site, search for the best Internet Ad package, and check / update the status of your ad.  You may actually never have to leave your home to advertise!

 4. Updated ads

Unlike the TV ads that need to be updated on a regular basis, Internet ads may run for quite some time without the need for change.  If so, change in the site is very minimal and may be done easily at home.

 Disadvantages

 1. Scope

Limited market may be captured if one would solely use the Internet Ad for advertising.  Although most people now are into the use of technology, i.e. surfing the Internet, still, majority of the average consumers (this may not be completely true since more and more people are looking for solution on the internet) still relies on the old form of advertising as a means of gathering information about certain products / service.

Depending on your situation, for example if you have a small grape plantation on the side of the road perhaps you best advertisement would be a sign on the road like this.

 2. Additional cost

If one would enlist the help of another professional or establishment to produce the site for their product or service, this would entail additional costs on the part of the entrepreneur.

Given the stated list of advantages and disadvantages about low-coast Internet Ad, an entrepreneur may now weigh in its applicability to his / her product or service.

The aim of Internet ad is to offer the widest range or "Maximum Exposure" of the brand at the least possible cost. Now, does that not sound good or what?

I am an AUTHOR, or am I ?? - Controversial.

Write an article, get the traffic. Well sort of! Since the birth of writing articles, our industry has caught on to the phenomena of increasing your website’s traffic by becoming the professional in your field. The only problem with this is that for every serious professional in one field, there are a thousand other writers who are jumping on the "band wagon" and they are writing books too.

This article phenomenon is hurting every industry!

From bloggers, column writers, and e-books, the writing industry is yearning for more great writers. The internet marketing community is especially hurting for better content.

With the birth of SEO (search engine optimization), people all over the world are searching, browsing, and reading everything they can on how to promote their business on the internet. Because of this demand for different content, the supply of writers are increasing everyday but the quality of articles is decreasing exponentially.

Everyone is writing about the exact same thing! My company receives on average 10-20 articles per hour submitted to us. I would have to say that only 1 in about 100 articles submitted are ever published within our website. Those numbers are extremely low and for good reason.

It's all about "substance" - or lack of it!

Many articles we review are nothing more than simple "babble" and most of them are pointless. You can seriously tell right away whether the article is just a promotional piece or something with actual substance within the content.

Great content is very important. There is a misconception out there that most people won't read your content and you can pretty much post anything you want within your website as long as your website is clean, professional looking, and can be found online.

YOU ARE SOOOOO WRONG!

website content development

If there is one constant online, it's the fact that the general public is getting smarter and more knowledgeable on how to research for honest, reputable companies on the internet.

Unfortunately, authors these days are simply stealing from other great authors!

I am not talking about posting someone else's article on your website! Copying content from other leaders in your industry will only hurt your company. This is why the writing industry is getting worse; many writers out there simply select a topic they want to write about, then they go online and find 5 articles on that topic. Once they have some other great articles, they simply proceed to combine each article for themselves, by personalizing the content a little.

Do you ever wonder why for specific topics within your industry, you can find hundreds of authors that wrote almost the exact same thing? I call these people "Content Copiers".

Even worse are people who buy articles to post online ! ! !

This gets me every time. Did you know that you can now hire a company to write something for you and insert your company information as the source and author of the article? This strategy is seriously sad considering I can almost guarantee you that the article you just bought was also sold to a handful of other companies. All they do is tweak the article a little bit and insert a different title.

No one knows your business more than you do. If you are seriously good at what you do, 9 times out of 10, you probably have enough knowledge to write an article that makes sense, that is unique in content, and that has your personal touch.

We've all come across different situations while operating our businesses. These small but important situations are what gives us confidence in what we do. When you learn from your mistakes, you should also consider educating people on what you've learned in order to help your potential clients or even help better educate your industry.

Think beyond yourself and write down something helpful.

I will not hide from you that I did buy this article. As you may guess this is the first Article from several on a list, ironically the Guy who is selling the articles wrote against of what he is just doing. Was that Ethical ?? Perhaps you write down on the comments your opinion, but before you let me say:
1) I am not hiding it
2) I did buy it from him, did not stole from him
3) My business is not on the writing part of what I do, so in sense I hire someone to do it for me, business offshore services all the time
4) I acknowledge that there may be someone who can post the same article somewhere else, and there is OK, every business has competition. There would be unfortunate if you have only one ice cream shop in your city where you could go to. And besides I am  here adding a  person touch to this article

As a business owner you may want to handle YOUR business and hire someone to take of the online marketing for you. Perhaps by entertaining this option it is how you did find this article on my blog. As long you don´t steal anything from anyone I guess there is nothing wrong to be one more person doing the same as other business to get results, in this case to make more posts in the blog to increase the audience.

Now that you can consider the 2 sides, perhaps you can write your opinion on the comments below...

Thank you.

Write Articles for One-way Links.

Summary: One-way links to your site might sound harder than reciprocal links but in reality they are both a lot of work but not really hard.  Consider article writing...

Keywords: article, articles, link, campaign, search, engines, engine

The Internet has become a great tool or vehicle for many industries and is an option to be considered in their marketing plan.  Any person, organization, or company can have a website created and hosted for the world to see their products and/or offerings.  But having a website is not enough.  With millions of websites on the web, how will people find the website?  Word of mouth will only go so far and traditional advertising is expensive.

People find websites from search engines, but not all websites are listed.  If your site is not listed in a search engine, your site will not achieve its potential.  In the same sense if your site is listed on a search engine but is not listed in the top 20 for the selected category, your traffic will be very minimal.  On the other hand if you were to be on the first page of a search result your traffic will increase significantly and if you are in the top 3 your traffic will again multiply.

Search engines use algorithms to rank websites according to key words.  The problem is that no one knows what or how to break the algorithms to be the top site on all the major search engines.  Sure there are companies that claim they know and they will charge you a fortune for their service, but the algorithms change constantly.  So what can we do to help our rankings on the search engines?

For starters, content is still king, not only for rankings but also for keeping your visitors on your site.  Content for a website should be natural and yet optimized for the search engines.  If you focus only on optimizing your pages for the search engines will your visitors get your full message?  Remember you want your visitors to stay on your site and always return, so it has to be interesting and intriguing for your visitors, not just 50 key words plastered on a webpage.  Keep your content fresh for both the search engines and visitors.  Both will love you.

Once you have your website up and running, develop a link campaign.  A link campaign will consist of both one-way links to your site and reciprocal links with other sites.  Reciprocal links are tough.  Many sites will not reciprocate links unless you have a certain google page ranking.  Some will reciprocate a link on conditions, so be flexible.  And other will be nice and help the little guy out.  I have found a link directory community to be very helpful in a reciprocating link campaign.  You can find many by doing a search on any of the search engines.

One-way links to your site might sound harder than reciprocal links but in reality they are both a lot of work but not really hard.  Consider article writing as a vehicle or tool for one-way links.  To do this you write an article on virtually any subject you want.  Sign up for an account on an article directory and publish your article.  You may be wondering how this is going to help with my one-way link campaign.  Here it is.  All the article directories include an author resource box or bio at the end of each article.  This is the perfect place to tell the world about the author and a little bit about your site (don’t forget to include a link).  Just remember not to spam your site links in the resource box as most article directories frown on.  Once your article is published in an article directory you would now have a one-way link to your site.

Here is another cool feature of the article directories.  Most of them syndicate their content (articles submitted to their directory).  This means other websites may potentially have your article along with your resource box or bio on their site as well giving you another one-way link.

Just remember to be patient. Here is a place worth of looking if you are considering this idea

Professional whose ethics make direct advertising of themselves inadvisable.

Doctors, dentists, lawyers, architects, and other professional men, whose professional ethics make direct advertising of themselves inadvisable, might well profit by Paul Harris’s example. Ethics is one thing; building up a professional practice is another! The two can be made to harmonize. That is the business of expert promotion men. And that goes for the rest of us as well. If we wish to get ahead in the world, we must find ways and means of bringing ourselves to the attention of people who need whatever we have to offer the world.

Over 30 years ago an enterprising young lawyer in Chicago, by the name of Paul Harris, conceived the brilliant idea of circumventing the rule against a lawyer advertising. He gathered around him 30 or so of his business friends and organized the first Rotary Club, the idea being, of course, to promote himself into a variety of contacts that might conceivably be converted into clients as the result of his personal relationship with them once a week. Today the Rotary Club movement has spread all over the world and has become an international power for good. The movement did its founder no harm! (From the book - How To Sell Your Way Through Life)

To have a Online presence with the pourpose to spread knowledge about your profession and services is very different than advertising your services. People who need your services will look for you without you advertising, but you need to make sure they can find you, "SEO" is a great way to make sure that will happen

You don´t need to make up fake reviews, but you can manage the bad one´s and promote the good one´s.

When the late Theodore Roosevelt came back from Africa, just after he left the White House in 1909, he made his first public appearance at Madison Square Garden. Before he would agree to make the appearance, he carefully arranged for nearly one thousand paid applauders to be scattered throughout the audience to applaud his entrance on the platform. For more than 15 minutes, these paid hand-clappers made the place ring with their enthusiasm. The other sheep took up the suggestion and joined in for another quarter hour.

The newspaper men present were literally swept off their feet by the tremendous ovation given the American hero, and his name was emblazoned across the headlines of the newspapers in letters two inches high. Splendid! Teddy understood and made intelligent use of personal promotion. That was the major reason why he was a great statesman! (From the book - How To Sell Your Way Through Life)

Publicity: Investment or expense ?

Some people keep their publicity budget running all the time while other only make advertisement when they feel sales are dropping. Free publicity is not something that all of us can be lucky to have like Nash on the story below but even today when we manage to put website free of cost it still have its costs of time and effort to make it happen...

Perhaps you are better off hiring someone to do it for you

During the World War a man by the name of Arthur Nash, a Cincinnati merchant tailor, who had taken his employees into business with him and had given them a part of the profits because his business was on the rocks and he saw no other way of saving it from bankruptcy. I went to Cincinnati, interviewed Nash, and wrote the first story about him. In my story I called him ‘‘Golden Rule’’ Nash. The story was taken up by the newspapers and magazines of the country and he received free publicity for more than 5 years. When he died a dozen years later, he was a wealthy man and his business was among the more successful of its type.
